Excerpt of the day:

‘I began to wonder what I was really doing here. Now I knew how I got here, but why had I come here. Was it just as Ruisha had said, to tie off loose ends before I became a true angel? I didn’t want to forget everything in my life, but I guess it was just in my blood or something, maybe I was supposed to follow this path, maybe I was supposed to become an angel. At least she had said it wasn’t supposed to happen right now, but that I had to finish off all the loose ends in my life, and this was a big one. I still didn’t believe her that it wasn’t my fault at all that Kimily had died, I mean there are so many factors, one of them could be my choice to stay that night rather than head back with her. But… at least I can stay here, right?’

Going home for the weekend gets me writing right before the day becomes the next. >_< Stupid me… Got yet another character, who is nameless right now. xD Buuut, here’s an excerpt.

‘It felt like someone else was controlling my memories, like someone was looking through a tape to find the show they had recorded. Then it would feel like they wanted to keep re watching the same scene over and over, I didn’t understand at all while it was happening, but that really was what was going on. They seemed to be able to look through my memories at will, but only when I was asleep. The memories flashed in front of my eyes, as they dug through everything they could, trying to find a clue. Until I, thankfully, woke up. Still sitting in that cold chair.’

Other than that, today was kinda crazy outside of writing. Glad I got to 15K today. :3

“That’s… That’s not how you’re supposed to enter…” Riel said quietly.

“Huh? Well, you didn’t explain anything to me about how to return, so I just found that alley again…” Neria replied, shrugging and walking in the direction of Kimily’s house.

Riel walked in front of Neria in an attempt to stop her. “No, something’s wrong here… you… this… this just isn’t right! This isn’t how it’s supposed to work! How are you able to come back and forth as you please? And through some weird arch in a brick wall of all possible ways!” Riel shouted, putting his arm in from of Neria’s chest.

“Like I told you, I have no idea, but I’m back here. Now can you let me through?” Neria replied, weaving to her right.

“No! No I can’t! This isn’t how it works, you don’t belong here!”

“But you gave me this damn note! I can be here!” Neria shouted back, pulling the envelope up and pointing to it.

“That only works if you come in the proper way! Not by some weird back door!” Riel moved to prevent Neria from passing again.

“Who the hell cares?! I’m here now just let me through!” Neria shouted back, weaved and pushed Riel’s arm out of the way.

Nothing much. :P Haven’t written much since I’ve been busy today.

HORRAY! I hit the 10K mark! O: I had some Nanoisms, but I don’t feel like digging them up. Not much happened today, I went to Japanese class, came back, and wrote. :P And, as per usual, here’s an excerpt.

“I really am concerned how a girl like yourself ended up here, and records show you shouldn’t be here for any reason. Now could you care to explain yourself?”

“Would if I could, but I have no idea. Might be nice if you could explain it to me, since I have no clue what so ever,” Neria replied, with the sting of annoyance hanging in her voice.

“Why don’t you just say it already then we can figure out how to deal with it?” Riel begged, seeming to believe Neria actually knew.

“I’m not lying. I really don’t have a clue. If I did, I’d tell you, but I don’t, okay? What part of that don’t you get?”

“You have to know though! People don’t just waltz on in here without needing to be! Things just don’t work that way!”

“No matter how many times you tell me stuff like that, it won’t change the fact that I have. No. Idea. Continually asking me is not going to make me suddenly know how I got here. All I know is I was walking down some brick alley way and suddenly I was here.”

“You think that’s really a believable story? Like I said, this is heaven; we have to be extraordinarily organized! There wouldn’t be an entrance to here in some alley way hidden in wherever it is that you live! Why don’t you just—”

“Stop it!” Kimily shouted, pushing herself between the two to separate them. “Riel, clearly Neria doesn’t know. The fact is you have to figure it out now. I know Neria, she wouldn’t lie about something like this, there’s just no point. Please don’t do anything to her either, okay? I want her here. It doesn’t matter to me how she got here, and if anything, I’ll take all the blame if that’ll make you feel better, just don’t get into an argument over the fact you think she’s hiding something. That’s just plain ridiculous!” She turned around to face Neria and said, “And Neria? I’m glad to see you again, but we do need to figure out how you got here, so at least… at least cooperate with them, okay?”

The tension that had begun to fill the air immediately escaped out the windows, though all it left was a big mass of silence.

“Well now, that was super effective.”

The pokemon reference was totally on purpose. xD

So I’m actually going back and adding a crap load of stuff since I felt like I was moving too fast. Also had a two nanoism combo. xD

…Neria dung through her bag to get her keys out before heading back over to the door. As she walked back over to the door, peter back away so should could shut the door behind her.

xD Gotta love these nanoisms, amirite? I was left laughing for a while after realizing the first one.

Added some characters to the plot bunny page. Details of them coming sometime, dunno when, they’re really new. :P

Except beneath the cut~

‘It had been a while since I had felt so relaxed. Something about just goofing off with friends gave me back a little freedom. My shell was still there, but I felt like I could come back out of it a little. My thoughts still tried pulling me back inside my head, but they had a harder time keeping me there… well, at least for a little while. Happiness doesn’t stay forever, and the same goes for feeling relaxed. If only some things could last forever, right? Life would be so much better if we could choose what lasted and what didn’t, but it doesn’t work that way.’

Aaand, that’s it. :P

Well, it’s started alright. Things are little tough right now, but I think I’ll be able to keep everything going for the whole month. I’m still not sure if it’ll fill 50,000 words, but I guess I shouldn’t doubt myself so early, shouldn’t I? I only really want to share the first paragraph, which is in first person. The prologue as a whole is actually in first person, but afterwards it’s mainly 3rd person with moments of my MC getting a monologue in her head for a paragraph here and there. :P

My world was crashing around me. I couldn’t believe what had just happened. She was gone, and there was nothing I could do about it. All I could do was to sit on the ground, crying. I couldn’t believe it had happened. No, I wouldn’t let myself believe it had happened. She was gone from me… gone forever.

Well, that’s it for today. :P Not much really happened. xD

So before I had a real grasp on my plot (I have my idea pretty solidly now), I had gone through on shuffle my Vocaloid songs and the Megurine Luka song, You and Beautiful World totally ’spoke’ to me and thus I used it for inspiration. Now with my plot pretty clear in mind, I went back and listened to it again. I wanted to show it to a friend and found a subtitled version of the song. Let me tell you, all I could say for a little while was “oh. my god.”

While not exact, it’s pretty much spot on. Apparently I subconsciously understand Japanese!

Well, 2009’s NaNoWriMo that is! Now at college, I’m going to be sticking to the usual 50,000 words so that I don’t screw up my school work. I’m still trying to kick my inspiration into gear while getting to class on time (and not getting lost), and so far I think it might be working. One thing I hope for: my shift key to come in before November, cause typing sans left shit key isn’t gonna be fun for 50k words. xD

I don’t have much to say really, got a new banner up for now, artwork by Nardack at Pixiv (link in the about section, note: pixiv required registration to look at artwork). That’s about it for now. Updates on that pesky plot bunny will come soon… I hope…

My novel is not done, however, I’m taking a small break to catch up on things like Anime and PangYa for a little while and will come back to writing during the weekend. I’ve been driving myself crazy for the past month to write this thing, and I now know I’m nearing my end, so that’s good for now.

No excerpt cause I don’t have anything to share.

Either way, dinner was soon ready and Arika had to get up and Ned had to pause. The meal was delicious and left Arika feeling satisfied. She stayed and watched as Ned finished the game with the defeat of the main boss, to which he shouted with joy and sung along with the song that played in the credits. Arika found the song a bit weird and creepy, but it was also a little cute and addicting. She soon caught onto the fact the words to the song were on the side and tried to sing to herself inside her head. She had never really tried singing inside her head, and it felt extremely weird. Arika stopped after a verse or two of the song and vowed to never attempt to sing again. She was a lyricist, not a singer.

Arika headed off to bed with ease, knowing that what tomorrow held was at least not another visit to the “doctor.” While still a little nerve racking, going to see the orphanage beat out the laboratory by over nine thousand points in her book.

Yes I mentio Portal (Said earlier) and used OVER 9000. Go me for sillyness!
