I KNOW MY ENDING, GO ME!

And now I realize how much Anime I’m gonna have to go through when this is all said and done with. Ah well. It won’t be that bad I hope. :P

Excerpt below the cut.

“It’s alright Bridget, just calm down…” Arika said as she knelt down by Bridget, her hand still gripping Bridget’s.

“Someone found out about me, didn’t they?” Bree asked coldly.

“Y-yeah… I’m so sorry, I just… My mind was so confused it just…” Arika tried to explain the best she could.

“I knew Riana shouldn’t have trusted you,” Bree’s happiness had faded. “But you wanted to see Riana, right? Follow me then.”

Arika followed Bree, who had snatched her hand away from Arika the moment she heard what had happened. She didn’t even want to be near Arika, even though she could feel that Arika wasn’t lying about them being in trouble. Bree knocked on the door to Riana’s room, and suddenly her anger vanished.

“Hey hey, Riana, Arika wanted to see you!” Bree smiled.

“Oh, Um, come on in Arika,” Riana said.

“Should I stay here?” Bree asked, looking at Arika a little out of the corner of her eyes.

“No, you can—” Riana began before Arika cut her off.

“—Yes, stay here.”

“Huh?” Riana looked to Arika, confused.

“I’ll explain once I come in.”

“Alright then…” Riana replied.

Arika entered quietly, peaking over her shoulder to make sure that Bree was still standing there. Riana shut the door behind her, though Arika turned around and opened it just a crack, to be sure she could hear anything if something happened. She was going just a bit paranoid, but she knew that something horrible was going to go down. Arika took a seat opposite the doorway so that she could still peak out the crack. Arika sighed and spoke.

“They’re supposedly coming to take Bridget.”

“They… they who—Oh, that they,” Riana replied, knowing exactly who Arika was talking about.

“I’m worried. What will they…?” Arika didn’t finish her sentence, but Riana knew just what Arika was getting at.

“Don’t even say it; nothing will happen, got that?” Riana scolded Arika lightly to get her point across.

Of course, she jinxed herself in saying that and the two girls heard a soft scream and a thud from outside.

“What was that?!” Riana said, turning around quickly. Arika got up without another word and swung the door open. She saw Bridget unconscious on the floor, and Mireille’s father pulling a needle out of her arm. Bree had obviously been looking around the hallway randomly and ended up missing the view of her captors until it was too late. Arika didn’t know what to do. The scene had frozen, she was motionless at the door and Mireille’s father was quietly staring back at Arika. ‘Oh god oh god what am I supposed to do?!’ Arika asked herself. She was too slow to think and the doctor picked Bridget up with the help of his assistant and headed down the hallway. ‘Oh no they don’t!’ Arika shouted to herself to spark motivation. She turned and headed down the hallway after them. For a pair of men carrying an unconscious girl down the hallway, they were moving pretty fast. Riana stood back for a few moments before thinking of what to do. She didn’t want to fight back, and yet she knew she had to do something. Arika was gaining on them, and if Riana didn’t get moving she would loose sight of the group. Without a second thought, she told herself to just do it and rushed out of the room after the group.

Arika’s feet pounded against the carpet. A few other maids turned from their work in various rooms to see what the commotion was. None of them acted upon any impulses, and merely stood still looking on at the red haired girl rush down the hallway. None of them seemed to realize what was going on, and none of them seemed to find the need to do anything even after they saw Riana rushing after the group.

She was gaining on them slowly, but soon enough they were out the door and already across the lawn. Arika started to give up; she wouldn’t be able to catch them in time. They got through the gate quickly and headed into a van parked nearby the door. Arika rushed through the gate before it shut, only to see the group drive away. She collapsed onto the sidewalk in utter defeat. Riana soon stood next to her, looking in the distance as the van headed off.

“No…” was all Arika could manage to think.
