Nanoisms and Excerpt Below. Also, Bridget has MPD. Oh the joys of Psych.
“Hello there, are you Miss Arika?” The maid asked, apparently she knew what the keychain meant. Arika just nodded her head, afraid to reply with her “voice”, and hopped that would be enough. “I’ll bring Riana here in just a moment. Please take a seat here,” The maid motioned to a cushioned chair to the right hand of the doorway. As Arika took a seat the maid scooted off to find Riana. At least then Arika could talk with more then yes or no. The maid returned for just a moment and opened the door for Riana. The blue eyed maid dismissed the other and headed over to Arika. Riana crossed the room quickly and quietly, which surprised Arika because she had expected at her pace she would at least cause a louder sound from her feet hitting the ground. When Riana reached Arika she nodded and motioned for Arika to follow her to another room. Arika stood up and had to move fast to keep up. She was lead into a room which seemed pretty cut off from everywhere else. It was less decorated than the main hallway and a little less rich looking.
“Alright, so what do you want to know?” Riana asked.
“A couple of things really…” Arika began and dug through her bags for the sheets of lyrics that Bridget had written on. “These first of all. Bridget took them and wrote some stuff on them, I don’t get what they mean.”
Riana read the handwritten portion at the bottom of each sheet and merely nodded. “What else did you want to know?”
Arika was caught a bit off guard, ‘No answer?’ “Um, why… why was she so different this last time I saw her?” Arika asked, a bit unsure of what answer she might receive.
“I’m not supposed to talk about it,” Riana replied regretfully.
The room grew quiet as Arika couldn’t think of anything else to ask. Both of her questions had been shot down and denied which pretty much left her speechless. Riana was a bit afraid if Arika would keep on pounding the questions; this topic was not safe for her to talk about. Arika looked into Riana’s eyes, which were now fluttering across the surfaces in the room, and tried to see if she should pursue her answers more. With Riana’s feelings coming out through her eyes, Arika knew if she did this right she would most likely get what she came here for, ‘But is that the right thing to do?’
Against her better judgment Arika began to talk again.
“Bridget seems really interested in my lyrics. She said she wanted to sing and let her voice out. When I asked her about her parents she said she couldn’t remember them well, why? Does it have to do with her change over the course of just a day?” Arika’s conscious started to attack her for making the worse of her choices, but she knew she had to keep at it. “When she looked at my lyrics the next day she was entirely different. She tossed sheets on the ground; she didn’t seem all that interested in singing though she did anyways. She was like a different person. …Is that really what’s going on?” Upon speaking, Arika’s mind had started to think about what could really be going on and began to tack on her own thoughts to her statements.
“It… it is.” Riana replied hesitantly.
“It is what?”
“She’s two people Arika,” Riana repeated.
“H-how is she two people?” Arika, lost in her train of thought, couldn’t think of how it would work.
“I’m not supposed to talk about it, but Bridget has multiple personality disorder. Thank goodness it’s only two different people, but still.”
“Wait, why aren’t you supposed to talk about?”
“Bridget’s second personality, who goes by Bree, wants to protect her. She wants to save her from the horrors that would lie within the laboratory,” Riana explained.
“Y-you mean, they would do to her what they’re doing to me…?” The wheels started turning.
“Quiet possibly.”
“But then which personality is which?”
“Riana crossed the room quickly and quickly,…”
lol oops. To quote DM “Hello, Department of Redundancy Department?” Supposed to be “quietly”.
